This is unprecedented territory. The Israelis will operate in an interim government until someone can put together 61. Two factors that could change is that Netanyahu still has some legal issues that will be resolved one way or the other, and Gantz has some major legal issues that the left has managed to hide until now. It appears that the left is getting impatient with him as his corruption with his company “Fifth Dimension” is now coming to a head, and the fact that he clearly misused funds with the IDP are now being exposed as well. If the left were willing to stick with Gantz, then this would not becoming foward. Also, the chances of a major military conflict are always there, which always change the elections. Many are speculating that the next Government formed will be by Messiah..there is still a chance that Netanyahu might successfully form a new government. So, the next few weeks will be extremely interesting and important to the State of Israel.
Intriguing post!
I am wondering if there is a reason that Israel cannot form a gov’t and that it may very well be a direction from God Himself to the timing of Prophecy/Events foretold long ago.
The Temple Institute/Sanhedrin, conflict in and around Syria (Isaiah 17:1), Turkey/Russia/Iran (Ezekiel 38/39), and much more.
I read an article a week ago about Israel coming pretty close to the longest time that it has governed itself in history. 80 years under David & Solomon and 75 or so under the Hasmonean Dynasty. We’re at 72 years in less than 2 months now.
I wonder if the Orthodox and Right leaning Israeli’s are getting jittery about the times we live in? Your post suggests that might be the case.
