Chlorine, boiling water, alcohol or bleach kill all viruses.
It’s pretty clear to me your catch all isn’t a catch all
“Specific Lysol products have demonstrated effectiveness against viruses similar to 2019 Novel Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) on hard, non-porous surfaces.”

For example, Granite countertops. POROUS
But it’s better than nothing
BUt Lysol isn’t going to reach all the virus that is shed because homes are filled with porous materials.
I bet there are a lot of people that don’t recognize that counter tops can be porous. Many probably dont even know if theirs is porous or not.
So it is all well and good to say spray Lysol in your house and your fine...but that really isn’t so.
You can’t spray lysol all over your house and now it is disinfected. If XYZ comes to your house while infected and shedding you are going to have to figure out how to
disinfect your house other than spraying Lysol.
If someone dies of this virus and he was sitting on your couch 7 days ago...how are you going to disinfect it?
You have to throw it out..or wait for it to naturally die.
I'm told that it takes up to nine days for COVID-19 to die naturally outside your body while for the Flu, it only takes a couple of days.
It's best just to keep old viral Uncle Herb out of your house.
“...hadnt recently traveled overseas or had any known close contact with a traveler or an infected person, authorities said. “
If they do enough research, they will find a connection - until then, they wish to toss an extra bowl of scare tactics into the mix...probably someone who should have been doing some sort of checking got lax and they don’t want that out.
