The younger doctors who died in Wuhan don't fit the pattern, but in those cases it may have been prolonged exposure to sick patients, and poor local health care. Or possibly there are more virulent strains that evolved.

We may never know.

The virus load is very high in all healthcare workers. I think that accounts for the high infection and mortality rate in young doctors. We always hear about the doctors, but what about the tens of thousands of medics. I wonder how they are faring.

A virus can be engineered genetically to attach to unique genetic sites. China is just doing their usual culling, or maybe someone forgot to shut the lab door. There has been only a little comparison data about deaths with folks who are genetically related to the Wuhan region.
Either that or we are all going to die, again.
