I remember when he was arrested. Never heard any more.

The whole show is clearly concocted.

I’m guessing he served his probation and has kept his nose clean.

I read where he lost 75 lbs also. Good thing.

“The whole show is clearly concocted.”

My brother and his youngest son stopped in there last year - Rick, his son, Chumlee, and the Old Man (who had passed away) hadn’t actually worked the counters for years. They talked to one of the security guards who said that, once they started getting famous, the place got packed as people just wanted to meet them. For some time now, the counter workers look for interesting items and notify the show when they have something they think will be worthy of air time. When they film, they close the store down and shoot the episode. All the drama between the characters is invented...

All that being said, I like the show as I like to learn about cool items...they should just lose the little drama crap and concentrate on more items...

True story, five years ago I was contacted by a talent Booket from Pawn Stars to possibly appear on the show. She was trolling eBay for listed items that she felt could make the cut on the TV show. Deal was I had to drive to LV from So Cal. on my own dime and Hotel bill to POSSIBLY make it on the show. Of course even had I made the cut I knew Rick would be undercutting the price I wanted so ultimately I declined come out to LV. Eventually I sold the rare vinyl record LP for $1200. Not a bad $60 investment from 15 years earlier.
