SUBTITLE: Lawmakers in Missouri and Tennessee have introduced bills that could put librarians in prison for hosting Drag Queen Story Hour events at public libraries.
On Monday afternoon, nearly 100 kindergarten students crowded into the Tompkins Square Library in New York Citys trendy East Village neighborhood as two glamorous drag queens read them childrens books during a Drag Queen Story Hour event.
Jackie Cox and Jan two contestants from the upcoming season of VH1s hit show RuPauls Drag Race fielded questions such as Are you a boy or a girl? and Why does your voice sound like that? with a smile, all while serving looks and an important lesson about how fabulousness comes in all different forms.
I think that its good to get kids at a young age to realize that everyone is different, and as long as youre not hurting or harming anyone, we can all get along in this world, Jan, 26, told NBC News.
Jan, whose real name is Charlie Mantione, said a big misconception about drag is that its just about nightlife.
At its core, its entertainment, she said. We obviously have things we do in our nightlife act that might not be suitable for kids, but we also can come here and read stories to kids and connect with them.
Drag Queen Story Hour, which started in San Francisco in 2015 and has since become a global phenomenon with events from Oklahoma to Tokyo, has recently found itself in the crosshairs of conservative lawmakers. In at least two states, Missouri and Tennessee, Republicans have proposed bills seeking to ban the event from public libraries.

I'm refusing to call them transgenders...they're nothing but cross-dressing freaks.
Real men and real women will eventually win the game of life....
Sometimes I wonder what my grandparents would think if they came back from the dead to see what is going on these days. I can only imagine.
Our culture has not only become corrupt, but has gone insane.
How did it get this bad? I worry about my grandchildren and what the world will be like in another 10 years for them.
This deviancy is not going to stop. It will accelerate.
Like a pimp grooming kids to get them slowly used to more and more perversion, till there is no escape.
All these drag queens are just another version of a painted face clown. Where the kids gather, rest assured they will attract the perverts, like wolves to the slaughter of sheep.

Dean Arnold Corll[2] (December 24, 1939 August 8, 1973) was an American serial killer who abducted, raped, tortured, and murdered at least 28 teenage boys and young men between 1970 and 1973 in Houston, Texas.
Corll was also known as the Candy Man and the Pied Piper, because he and his family had owned and operated a candy factory in Houston Heights, and he had been known to give free candy to local children.
When your primordial instincts tell you to beware someone you better pay attention.
Remember these old songs from the past? Funny at the time. We should heed them.

Bet they would be horrified if I offered to take their kids small game hunting.
I am disgusted that 3 new drag shows are going mainstream according to the TV guide. I just want someone to slap the wigs off their perverted faces.
The free Read Aloud you tube story videos are great.Opt Out of this mess.
All these freaks and perverts who are trying to mainstream thier issues struggle in vain. The disgust most men have for them is there not because of society but because it is built into our nature. They are only tolerated because the rational thinking part of our mind overrules our own instincts.
Glamourous? So, their article is 100% lies.
I just googled “Crossdressing serial killers”. I did not realize there were so many.
2 questions:
what kind of person has to dress up in drag to read to children?
and
what kind of parent brings their children to this kind of event?
A number of years ago, people noticed that children were often afraid of clowns, because Id the garish makeup and startling behavior. Yet somehow a drag queen is supposed to be fun? So many dumb people among us. Sad.
Are you a boy? Or are you a girl?
With your long blond hair you look like a girl
Yeah, you look like a girl
You may be a boy, hey, you look like a girl
You’re either a girl or you come from Liverpool
Yeah, Liverpool
You can dog like a female monkey, but you swim like a stone
Yeah, a rolling stone
You may be a boy, hey, you look like a girl
Hey! Aw!
Hey!
You’re always wearing skin tight pants and boys wear pants
But in your skin tight pants you look like a girl
Yeah, you look like a girl
You may be a boy, hey, you look like a girl
Hey!
Are you a boy? Or are you a girl?
With your long blond hair you look like a girl
Yeah, you look like a girl
You may be a boy, hey, you look like a girl
Hey!
Yeah, you look like a girl, hey!
Yeah, you look like a girl, hey!
Yeah, you look like a girl, hey!
Yeah, you look like a girl, hey!

Anyway, these drag queens need to be worked over by enraged fathers wielding baseball bats.
Sexual activists demand the right to sexually imprint and groom our children.
>>> I worry about my grandchildren and what the world will be like in another 10 years for them. <<<
Me too.
The Republican Party should change it’s name to the Sanity Party.
Is this why so many kids are confused about their gender?
And while we're at it, whose idea were these events in the first place? It went from inconceivable to a nationwide phenomenon overnight.
The parents should have their children taken from them and placed in protective custody for later adoption.
