Joe Biden Surges In South Carolina
538 ^ | February 27, 2020 | Nathaniel Rakich

Posted on 02/27/2020 6:01:45 PM PST by Trump20162020

As Nevada went to the polls last Saturday, the FiveThirtyEight forecast considered Sanders the slight front-runner in South Carolina, with a 1 in 2 (46 percent) chance of winning it. It gave Biden a 2 in 5 (40 percent) chance. Since then, in a reminder of how fluid primaries can be, Biden’s chances have skyrocketed. As of Thursday at 5:38 p.m. Eastern, Biden has a 14 in 15 (94 percent) chance of winning the Palmetto State, while Sanders’s odds are down to 1 in 20 (5 percent).

The first hint of Biden’s comeback came two days ago: Biden had only a small lead on Sanders in our South Carolina forecast at the time, but the first survey conducted entirely after Nevada, from Public Policy Polling, showed Biden up 15 points. At that point, the poll was an outlier. Well, not anymore. Since Wednesday, we’ve gotten six new polls of South Carolina, most of which have given Biden commanding leads.

I’m flabbergasted at how the left wing media ignores Biden’s dementia. Actually it’s an insult to our intelligence. It pissed me off. That’s why I keep hoping that he’s escorted off stage mumbling something about stroking cornpop’s legs.

In January, Biden was up by 28 points.

I guess by the “Biden surges” headline that the “walking around money” has been delivered just in time.

Cast your vote based on the 15% rule. The democrats changed their primary systems to proportional voting after the last election. So every candidate gets delegates based on their percentage. They put in a floor of 15%. To get delegates they must have at least 15% of the vote. My theory is that we want a contested convention with as many candidates as possible with delegates. If we vote for the candidate polling nearest to 15% in our state before the primary we can keep as many of them alive as long as possible. I say nearest to 15% because all polls have a margin of error. So a candidate polling 16.5% might only get 14.9% of the vote and fail to get delegates. By keeping as many of these losers alive as possible, hopefully all the way to the convention, we create disunity and distrust. Imagine if we could keep six candidates viable, Crazy Bernie, Mayor Pete, Liawatha, Bite Me, Klobuchar and mini-mike. The convention goes to a second or third vote. Deals get made, hopefully, several of them get screwed over. Disunity and an even bigger victory in November.

My district in Texas has no primary races of interest to me therefore I can indulge in this. By all means though if you have a chance to vote against the GOPe in the primary that is where you need to cast your ballot

I quickly looked at the results on 538 and the following would be closest to 15% in each state:
MA - Mayor Pete
SC - Steyer
TX - Warren

Last time I looked, it was Biden over Sanders only 28-24 & the headline was that Plugs is losing ground.

Will have to decide early Saturday morning but if the Commie is ahead in other states then votes for Plugs will throw sand in the gears of the Marxist juggernaut.

Brokered, brokered, brokered, is what we Deplorables want.

Biden is being propped up by how crazy his competition is.

But will say something really stupid and pull defeat from the jaws of victory.

He is so good at it he could have been a Republican. Rino that is!

Bernie needs to appeal the outcome of this primary—it is not fair for Biden to have so many “Other Bidens” on the ballot. ;-)

Hopefully Biden will publicly leak some Obozo administration secrets in a senior moment.

_That_ would finish him.

I wonder if some voters are taking a second look, for anyone but Bernie? The dems don’t care if Biden can walk and chew gum, as long as he can beat Trump. Let him serve a year or two, then the VP takes over

If Hillary horns in and captures the nomination, I will eat my hat and send you the video, but I insist on adding salt.

Hillary is nothing but a talking head mounted on top of artificial life support. Even if she were a geriatric Bionic Woman, Hillary would be crushed by PDJT on the debate stage.

Hillary may Arkancide anyone who disagrees with her ambition, but she’s not going to be the nominee.

I’m flabbergasted at how the left wing media ignores Biden’s dementia.

It's difficult to tell how bad it is. I mean, if he were to lead a normal life and allowed to get enough rest, he might be fine. It could be he's continuously exhausted, and at his age, it shows.

I'm really worried about Joe. How long can he survive being constantly pumped up with Pervitin?

But they aren’t polling Republicans that intend to cross over in the open primary and vote for Sanders.
