Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz hired away a staffer from Texas Democratic Rep. Sylvia Garcia, who served as a Democratic impeachment manager.
Isabela Belchior, who served as a staffer for Garcia throughout the impeachment hearings, accepted the position for Gaetz shortly after the Senate voted to acquit President Donald Trump, Politico first reported. Garcia was one of the few House Democrats who had the chance to argue their case for impeachment on the Senate floor.
“We are happy to welcome Isabela Belchior to our team. Our office believes in second chances,” Gaetz’s office told the Daily Caller in a statement when asked about the new hire. Gaetz’s office confirmed that she accepted the position on February 14.

I didn’t mind what he said to Joy Behar about wearing black and being in mourning about the dem debate, but I did not like the way he said it. Way too sarcastic.
I don’t think there is another FReeper with more disdain for POLITICIANS than I. However, the permanent “Congressional staffer” cadre that shuffles through DC from one administration to the next and from one party to the other is probably our biggest problem.

The way to do something about it is to bring your own staff and only keep on the best of what remains. Until new congressmen and senators start doing thatthe problem will continue.

He’s been compromised. He seemed “different” since the impeachment farce, whenever I’d see him on Fox News. He now has this smug look about him I never noticed before. Deep State got to him. Another one bites the dust.
