Several groups are working on a coronavirus vaccine, but there's no guarantee that it will be ready before the end of the current outbreak. One group says they may have an experimental vaccine ready for initial testing within a month. But experts caution this expedited timeline doesn't always allow for careful evaluation of the safety and effectiveness of the vaccines.

No, we have plenty of materials for vaccine development. This bug spreads with direct contact and droplets. So use hand sanitizer and don’t stand near anybody sneezing! (And don’t eat any bats or snakes. :-))

In 1976 the vaccine industry took a hit with a predicted swine flu epidemic that never happened, and a swine flu vaccine that caused lawsuits because of complications.
They should still be gun shy.
So I would not expect a public corona virus vaccine until an epidemic is well underway, and definitely needed. Probably another nine months earliest. - Tom
