The family ran this new business out of the Sanders family home. But critics would claim that Sanders doled out more than $150,000 to his family through the new company.

There needs to be a serious concerted effort to turn Vermont red.
Surplus republicans nationally need to obtain residency in Vermont and vote sanders out and put in a hard core conservative.

The dirty “not so secret” of Chinese economic success is forcing 2/3rds of its population to remain in small town and rural areas, with very little opportunity to improve their lives. Horrendous working conditions, lack of health care and education, little infrastructure. These are the people that mine the coal, grow the crops (many on poisoned land), and do the hard lifting necessary to support the westernized cities. Shanghai, Beijing, Wuhan, etc., could not survive if there was true freedom of movement within China. They would be overwhelmed by country folk seeking opportunity in the cities. The Chinese government considers these people expendable which, come to think of it, is the exact same attitude of the Democrat coastal elites in the United States.
Obama was not as blatant as Sanders, though.

The only thing I would add is that we also hurt our Middle and Working classes and our governments lost a lot of tax payers in the process.
Before Castro, Cuba was the third most prosperous country in this hemisphere.
Compare it to any other Latin American country at the time, and then look at how others have progressed since then. They have left it in the dust.
Chile, once they got rid of the communists... Colombia, once they got rid of FARC and the drug lords... Many of these countries are places that people immigrate to. Argentina almost collapsed entirely, under their “Obamas”, but its still a country others move *to*... Venezuela used to weep for their poverty before Chavez (back when they were merely petro-socialist), but thanks again to the communist mafia have been driven into the dirt.
Leftists have romanticized the utter destruction Castro brought to the country, and they have libeled what Cuba was and what it would have become without the communists. Don’t like Batista? They prospered then, and in any case, he’d have been long dead by now.
