Bernie’s Undemocratic Socialists. The candidate is still expressing admiration for Marxist tyrants.

A core claim of the Bernie Sanders presidential campaign is that “democratic socialism” simply means Scandinavian-style democracy and relatively free markets with a generous social safety net. The truth is that Mr. Sanders has a long history of support for the most undemocratic of socialists, and even today he claims there were silver linings in the playbook of Marxist tyranny.

In a Friday interview with Telemundo, Mr. Sanders was asked about the moment in a recent debate when rival Mike Bloomberg dismissed the Sanders agenda by noting that communism had failed. Mr. Sanders told Telemundo:

Well, it’s the same old, ugly, red baiting that goes on. I think most Americans understand that democratic socialism is not communism.

But whether they were marketed as “democratic socialists” or communists, plenty of tyrants have enjoyed Mr. Sanders’ support. The senator now claims this is not what he has in mind for the United States.

...

Mr. Venegas then asked whether Mr. Sanders supported such regimes. to which the Vermont socialist responded, “Of course I don’t support those. I have, my entire life, been fighting authoritarianism, whether it is communism, whether it’s fascism, whatever it may be.”

This is false. Mr. Sanders has dedicated his career to fighting against anti-communists. And along the way he specifically spoke up for all of the brutal regimes Mr. Venegas mentioned.

And Bernie Sanders still won’t stop rising to the defense of communist tyrants. Here’s an excerpt from Sunday night’s edition of the CBS program “60 Minutes”:

Anderson Cooper: Back in the 1980s, Sanders had some positive things to say about the former Soviet Union and the Sandinistas in Nicaragua.

Wall Street spent decades feeding the Democrat monster and now it’s finally turned on them. No sympathy here. Nope, not one bit.

I don’t see how he could run for any office. How can he take an oath to defend the Constitution and run on a platform to dismantle the Constitution? He should be arrested for treason.

If Bernie is elected, look for him to grow a beard and push to change the name of the nation’s capital to Havana DC

The CPUSA website ran an article in 2016 that approved the Sanders movement as being not exactly the revolution, but a step in the right direction.

Bernie is nuts. The USA spends a fortune on ‘literacy programs’. We have free K-12 education and he’s gonna praise Castro’s programs? Is there a country on earth that benefits by keeping their people uneducated and illiterate? It’s like saying “Cuba is wonderful because they have indoor plumbing”.
