Andrew Yang Reveals Why the Middle Class Isn't Happy With the Dems

Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) has momentum that is unmatched. He came out neck-and-neck with former South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg in Iowa, although Buttigieg ended up with one more delegate. He won by a razor-thin margin in New Hampshire, although he came out with the same number of delegates as Buttigieg. And he absolutely crushed it in Nevada, with practically no competition.

But why is Bernie seeing such a surge? A large part of it has to do with the fact that average, working-class Americans are disenfranchised by the Democratic Party. In a lot of ways, Bernie is an insurgent candidate who is making things a little messier than they should be. The party big wigs immediately told Americans former Vice President Joe Biden was their guy, that he was the one who was going to take back the country from President Donald Trump, because, you know, Orange Man Bad. But state after state has shown us that Democratic voters are bucking that narrative.

Following the Nevada Caucus results, former 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang pinpointed the issue with the Democratic Party: their lack of appeal to the very voters who should be their base.

"This is why I ran. When I went around to Democrats – actually, no, not Democrats – working-class Americans across the country, if you have a 'D' next your name, it's like a Scarlet Letter. Like they do not [let] Democrats speak to them," Yang explained. "I was talking to truck drivers and waitresses and I was like, theoretically, aren't you who the Democratic Party should be speaking to and standing up for? But they thought the Democratic Party wanted nothing to do with them. And that, to me, is a real problem with the Democratic Party. You have to do some real soul-searching if working-class Americans is not their party."

According to the entrepreneur, this was the very essence of why he ran for president to begin with. He saw the "underlying economic issues that have been building up in our communities for years and decades." Yang said those issues are the reason President Donald Trump was elected to begin with.

Democrats claim to be the party of working-class Americans and minorities. It's hard to make that argument when the majority of the people running for president are old, white, men who are millionaires and billionaires. It's antithetical to everything the party stands for.

Americans have absolutely no incentive to elect a Democrat. Why would they boot President Trump out of office when the economy is booming, unemployment is at record-lows? Why would they get rid of the man who is responsible for unemployment being at historic lows for Hispanics and African Americans? Why would Americans oust Trump when the Tax Cuts and Job Act put more money in their pockets?

The answer: they don't.

The left went all in for victimhood, identity politics and class warfare. That is their only constituency.

The middle class SHOULD be VERY unhappy with the Dems because given the chance the Dems would DESTROY the middle class.

Tucker Carlson does a much better job of explaining the rise of both Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump.

Pull up the national election maps (county by county) for 2016, 2012, 2008, 2004, 2000, and 1996. It’s a red-gain trend....rural counties are easily going to GOP. Last election was 90-percent of counties being Trump-win counties. Rural metropolitan areas are going Democrat. With this formula, unless you run a black or Latino candidate for President, the Democrats can’t win. It’ll be that way for 2020, 2024, 2028, etc.

Big revelation eh?

Who thinks the Communism with their obnoxious hammer and cycle logo actually helps workers? Nobody in their right mind. The hammer and cycle have dripping from them the blood of hundreds of millions or their own citizens and workers.

As the Dems in America have been doing for the last 100 years, the Left creeps in with lies and deception catering to the gullible and unwary.

He should have told the whole story.

The social justice warriors have driven white people out of the party. They have seized party infrastructure and officially hate white people.

They made everything about race and wonder why white people have no use for them anymore.

Pretty much everything the Democrats stand for is against the interests of average Americans.

The question Chang should be asking himself is why is he a Democrat, backing a critical mass of their policies?

Who thinks communism helps workers?

Anyone under 45yrs of age.

Public school has been ‘innoculating’ them with communism since at least the 70’s.

Even educated 30 somethings with really great jobs support bernie. It’s not THEIR stuff he’ll be taking, it’ll be from those ‘evil rich corporations and people’. One of them is my nephew with an MD. Who should know better. But public school his entire educational career, even in the deep south, brainwashed him.

They have been taught that Venezuela isn’t the fault of socialism/communism, it’s because the US enacted a trade blockade. ‘We’ made Venezuela fail.

I know a couple of people who will vote Democrat regardless of who is on the ticket. If I could characterize them with one word, that word would be “angry.” If you really sit down and think about their situation, they made it themselves. In a moment of honesty, one of them, who works for me on occasion, told me how unhappy he was with his life. I responded along the lines of, “You made every decision at each moment of your life with the best intention that it should work out well. We can’t see the future. If we could, everyone would be happy.” He is still unhappy and on serious anti-depression medication. He recently got back his right to vote, reversing one of those spectacularly bad life decisions he made. He will use that vote to cancel mine.

When I visited my son in Seattle, It was crazy with anti everything . I told my son’s girlfriend that if there was a Democrat that could get my vote , it would be Andrew Yang.
I explained that he understood that available education and rebuilding manufacturing was what the middle class needed. She said why can’t we just get stuff from overseas where it’s cheaper to make. This is from someone with a degree in international relations/polsci. I asked how much economics she took, because that is the basis for international relations. 2 classes. She went on a rant about ideaology. I asked her was she working in her degree field. “No. In Seattle they want technical people.” Dohhhh

Democrats are NOT the party of the “working man” or woman. They could give a rat’s ass about working people.

That maybe true.

But the Democrats instituted a system of open primaries to allow them to pick the Republican nominee. It worked very well and they installed McCain and Romney as the Republican nominee in two election years.

This year they are going to have Bernie stuffed down their throats with a side dish of ANTIFA when they set out to cheat him.

Bernie’s socialists are maybe twenty five percent of the Democrat Party. But they are absolutely dedicated.

Ever since LNJ, the Democrats have been the party of the Democrats.
They dragged the Pubbies along with them to maintain the DC lifestyle; capitulation.
Follow the money.

Yes but they successfully pretended to be for the working class and middle class and the Republican’s never challenged them on this.

Until President Trump that is.

One reason why the Democrats and Republican Never Trumpers hate him so much.

He busted up the false image.

Trump’s Republican Party is now the party of people who work for a living in the private sector.

The Democrat Party is the party of those who want the government to take care of them. Not just welfare recipients, but those who think their economic situation would be worse without affirmative action, government employees, and those wealthy people who depend upon “corporate welfare” and being plugged into inside information about what the government will do, as it affects the stock market.
