Gov. Phil Murphy disclosed Saturday he has a tumor on his kidney that is 90 percent likely to be cancerous and will soon undergo surgery.
Murphy, 62, told NJ Advance Media that doctors caught it at an early stage and have complete confidence theyll be able to fully remove the tumor. He said he does not expect hell have to undergo chemotherapy or radiation treatment.
The expectation is that overwhelmingly, assuming nothing happens on the operating table or you dont get an infection or something, youre back on your feet and back in the game without any impairment going forward, Murphy said during an interview at his Middletown home alongside First Lady Tammy Murphy.
While 90 percent of such tumors are malignant, doctors wont know if it is renal cell carcinoma until after the surgery, Murphys office said. They said it is stage T1A, which according to the medical website Cancer.Net, is where the tumor is found only in the kidney" and is 4 centimeters or smaller "at its largest area.

And if these citizens got tossed into prison for a few years, well, that's just their tough luck.
These are the actions of tyrants.
God has a sense of humor, it was the babies stupid
God moves in mysterious ways...
Even though I hate his politics, I’ll pray for his health. We shouldn’t be like liberals, who are happy when they heard Rush had lung cancer, but we should pray for everyone with health issues...

That’s what they said when they found a tumor in my wifes kidney. They took out the kidney and all was well.
Until the next year when they found a tumor in the other kidney and then the next year when they found numerous tumors in both lungs.
And then this year they found more lung tumors.
Surgical removal is the only option for these tumors. Chemo and radiation don’t work.
Kidney cancer can spread to anywhere.
Correct. I had a T2b tumor on my left kidney three years ago. His stage 1 is almost an outpatient procedure these days. Theyll do a partial nephrectomy or microwave ablation and hell be home the next day.
Good thing Bloomberg- Emanuel care hasn’t arrived yet. Treatment under their plans consists of a vinyl recliner, bed pan, and morphine-thorazine cocktails.
And he is not finished yet. I wish him a recovery and an extended (immediate) retirement. That being said, his lieutenant governor (Sheila Oliver) is every bit as radical and is a lifetime, leftist career government employee so there are no good options in NJ except to leave. I fear that if Murphy is given a terminal diagnosis, he will go full leftard bolshevik with nothing to lose.
Hopefully within 2 years I will be able to shed the proverbial 'golden handcuffs' that are keeping me in this state for now and make my way south to Tennessee with my 15-round mags in tow (but let's keep that last part a secret since 15-rounders are "frowned upon" here in NJ).
People live fine without one of two kidneys.
Remove the kidney and be done with this. We have far too many people on this thread scared of this reasonable scenario.
I understand, but this whole article is around it only being in one kidney. Its sized and nothing is seen in other areas.
Your wife already, sadly, had progressed rather far beyond his stated problem.
Hes probably gotten a body scan to check. My wife and I both had a non-contrast body scan done a few months back, and a contrast body scan, especially a certain PET contrast scan (there are also MRI and CT scans) identifies only cancers throughout the body. They show up as glowing areas only where cancer is.
Screw Phil Murphy. That is all.

Not so. Scans taken a few moths after the first kidney removal showed no expansion beyond the first kidney.
After a tumor was removed from the second kidney, scans taken a few months later showed no expansion.
She had tumors removed from both lungs last fall. A scan a month ago showed evidence of some more starting to grow.
Dont wish cancer on anyone.
This is what my Dad had thirty years ago. It didnt kill him. Took out the kidney and he was good for another 15 years.
For your wife, up the many studies on kidney and lung cancers and grape seed extracts ability to help.
Copy/paste these in your search engine of choice:

Her doctors are at the Mayo in Rochester. They haven’t said anything about the grape seed treatment yet.
Nothing about his comment suggests he (dp0622) isnt trusting in divine providence.
It never fails, the chime-in for the cure-all.
My father also passed of kidney carcinoma, they told him after removing kidney they got it all he died 3 months later BUT that was 40 years ago he was only 47 years old!! I figure they have much better results this many years later but maybe not!!
There have been a lot of improvements on that type of cancer even in the last five years.
My son has brain cancer and shortly before Christmas they told us it was terminal. My son opted for some experimental drugs, think Right To Try. He is also dong a clinical study in a hospital out of state that is trying T-Cell infusion.
Most likely the drugs and treatments will not help him but through the information they gain by doing research on him it will help others in the future.
Very sorry to hear about your son praying for your family, you never know these drugs may provide a miracle a long with the hand of God of course!!!
