The number of people who participated in the four-day early voting period here in Nevada approached the total turnout of the 2016 caucuses, a Nevada Democratic Party aide tells CNN...A party official also told CNN that more than 50% of those who cast early ballots were first-time caucusgoers.

Democrats’ cheating abounds
If there is "early voting" then it is NOT a "Caucus"!!!
How do they select Precinct people, District Captains, and Delegates to the State Caucus????
Those positions are voted on from among those ATTENDING the Caucus!!!
I just saw a live report with Chris Matthews on the strip. It’s currently pouring in Las Vegas. How often does it pour in Las Vegas? A little foreshadowing for the Democrat party, perhaps?
exactly what I was thinking
How do early voters “realign” if their candidate doesn’t reach “viability” in the first round?
How can there be anything other than one round in early voting?
Wait, they had four days of “caucusing” and they are close to 2016 numbers when it was only one day?
And the MSM is jumping up and down like this is a good thing?
And 50% of the people who showed up never caucused before?
Where did the 50% that didn’t show up go to? Trump?
‘Rats are done
DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING FOR GRANTED.
Good advice...
For example, given the trial-run success of having 3-million illegals vote in CA in 2016, we can expect 25-to-30 million of them to be voting in the 2020 election...
How do early voters realign if their candidate doesnt reach viability in the first round?
Rank choice voting for the early voters, which has to be a nightmare for those managing the caucus. Rank choice tabulating needs to be done by a computer.
That’s great — the Biden one is hilarious.
Man are they having a bad year!
OMG yes!
The Republicans do not have a primary and or caucus in Nevada this year. Trump was awarded all of the delegates at a party meeting by acclimation, basically.
You bring up a good point. A fair number of Demonrats could have voted for Trump in 2016, operation chaos-style. But that wouldn’t explain why they are not showing up today when there a number of candidates to choose from. You would think there would be a high, high turnout given the number of candidates and no Republican race.
Hillary won Nevada in 2016, but not by a huge amount. It seems the overall number of votes by Demonrats was really low. I can’t believe the numbers. I must not be reading something right.

Check it out. Tell me what you think.
IMHO a lot of Bernie’s votes today came from Trump voters. His numbers seems really high compared to his numbers in 2016 and the number of other candidates to choose from.
“How do early voters realign if their candidate doesnt reach viability in the first round?”
they list three choices in descending order, which is a different algorithm than that used for the live attendees, and so must be folded in with a relatively complicated algorithm.
LIVE attendees choose as follows:
“As with other Democratic caucuses, voters gathered into preference groups for each candidate. A minimum threshold of 15 percent was required in each precinct in order to achieve viability. If a candidate’s preference group was not viable, voters could choose to caucus with another group or to be uncommitted.”
looks to me like another fustercluck in the making ...
81 of 2,097 precincts reported
It is beginning to look like Nevada is doing the same SNAFU as was done in Iowa.
In four hours only 81 precincts have reported.
I have been trying to follow it, CNN and Fox have been stuck on the same stats for hours now. It’s too late to stop Bernie in Nevada.
Yeah, they are still stuck at 11% reporting two hours later.
Supposedly each caucus site has to send a text message of a photo of the worksheet that is filled out at the site and this has to be cross checked with the phoned in report of results, or something like that. But I still don’t know how they fold in the early vote results. So far, I have not heard any network even bring up the early vote.
I don’t remember in previous years there being such chaos in voting results like I have seen in Nevada and Iowa.
