It’s intended here as a prostitute. Prostitutes, by nature of their profession, are objectifying themselves.
By their own free will (most of them), they are a commodity. The very nature of their business is a trade. And they (most of them) allow themselves to be used.
And the remark was not intended to be a put down on women in general or prostitutes in particular. Prostitutes have been a part of every society since probably forever.
I would much rather have a prostitute for a neighbor than some taking the women’s lib moral high ground.

But then, we hire a fair amount of them. I also used to work with an organization that helped people get out and stay out of the sex industry and many of the people had had serious drug habits to cope with what they were doing which resulted in heavy drug convictions.
