Forget Lincoln and Douglas. Forget Nixon and Kennedy. Hell, forget the Athenians and the Melians back during the Peloponnesian War. Last nights Democratic primary slagfest in Nevada was the greatest debate in all of human history.
Oh, was it glorious the sheer raging hostility spraying across the stage as every campaign besides the Bernie Sanders and Michael Bloomberg bids faces the desperate possibility that each might fade into the woodwork against the Bernie surge and the Bloomberg billions.
Its not that the gloves were off. No, my friends, everybody was wearing steel-tipped boots and going right for the crotch. Those werent snowflakes. They were nunchucks.
Some priceless highlights:
Pete Buttigieg wagging his finger at Amy Klobuchar after she said shed made an error by forgetting the name of the president of Mexico in an interview.
Klobuchar wheeling on Buttigieg and demanding to know if he was trying to say she was dumb. Are you mocking me here, Pete?

Imagine you are on Klobo’s campaign staff.
Q. Why would you not brief her on the current Mexican president and his policies before putting her on a radio show to pander to Hispanic voters?
A. Because it never occurred to you she wouldn’t already know that stuff!
That song brings back some great memories!
On a whim - a friend and I stopped into a little dive bar for a beer. A run down and out - dreary milltown kinda place with a jukebox and a “was probably once attractive” 40 something bartender.
One of the alcoholics in the place ambled over to the jukebox - and that was the song he played. It’s been my favorite “Hank” song ever since.
I still wonder if anyone was offended - ‘cause we both nearly spit beer on each other when that song kicked in.
You sir are a disturbed individual. LOL!!
It’s been for a long time and it still gets played.
Rush made a good point today - Tulsi Gabbard is the only candidate that isn’t angry and full of rage. And she’s really the only one that has a legitimate gripe.
I don’t think I have ever seen a more strident woman than Warren.
She seems to hate and grind on everyone, yes that’s the word for it, strident
Bloomberg's right on this...
