Is there cut off either of the albums that I might remember?
I have followed Neil’s career closely and own or have given sincere listens to all of his releases. Any new music from him after 1980 is highly suspect. Here are the only post-1980 releases I would recommend (other than his relatively recent releases of archived pre-1980 material):

Broken Arrow

Chrome Dreams II

Freedom

Harvest Moon

Prairie Wind

Psychedelic Pill

Ragged Glory

Thanks for the info. I will listen to those of these I can find on YouTube.

So, he has done some legitimate, creative work. I stand corrected!

Of a vintage that I grew up listening and following the music side of artists and the obvious “ lines” in their music. Never paying attention to all the words as it was not common to see the total lyrics. Like the stones Keith Richard he can make that the “catch “ of many of his songs. In that regard Young , to me a very good guitarist and wordsmith , but always a lone wolf 🐺 as regards his career and like many performers oblivious to how he should just “ shut up and sing” and not be a social crusader

Neil Young’s family of friends here in Port Townsend are perplexed. We love Neil, and pray for him to get well. He doesn’t need the stress. He and Daryl should buy the “Ragland” back and take a nice mellow sail around the globe and stay out of the fray. Write some new songs along the way, then come back to us.
