"He said his signature plan to enroll everyone in the US under a government-run health insurance system was already a compromise. "

Which begs the question, what is the non-compromise position? Slavery?

>> Bernie more radical than AOC! <<

Does this really surprise anyone? AOC wants to change the RAT party from within and move it to the left. She actually doesn't have much ideological difference with the RAT she replaced (Joe Crowley already voted the RAT party line 95% of the time and was a dependable and predictable across-the-board leftist). She defeated him because of the changing demographics of the districts and because he was a low-key backbencher and attempted to sound "reasonable" and claim to "work with Republicans" despite his voting record, whereas she is a fire-breathing outspoken "progressive".

Bernie has NO interest in changing the RAT party from within or moving it to the left. As far as he is concerned, BOTH major political parties in the United States are evil capitalist puppets controlled by megacorporations, which would be abolished if Comrade Bernie had the power to do whatever he wanted and could institute The New Order like they had in Cuba under Castro's revolution. Bernie always ran as some fringe third party Socialist candidate for years (he was a proud Eugene Debs man) and is ONLY running on the RAT party line for President for one reason alone: ballot access (he knows it would impossible to get on the ballot for President in all 50 states as an Independent and get his Marxist message out nationally)

>> "He said his signature plan to enroll everyone in the US under a government-run health insurance system was already a compromise. " Which begs the question, what is the non-compromise position? <<

Simple. Bernie doesn't want the government to merely PAY for everyone's health care. In his ideal world, the government would BE the sole source of health care for everybody and the entire health care industry in the United States would be a government agency and all Doctors, nurses, physicians, etc. would be government employees who answer to the state alone and cannot operate outside of the government. All hospitals and any type of medical facility or medical care at all would operate like a VA hospital does now, as a wholly government-owned operation. There would be NO Medicare in comrade Bernie's world since Medicare still allows for the private sector to exist. So, in his warped mind, "Medicare for all" IS a compromise.

That being said, when I hear things like Mark Kirk is "socially moderate" when he votes with Planned Parenthood 100% of the time, I have to wonder what their idea of "socially liberal" is and how it is possible to be to the left of that. I suppose murdering toddlers might qualify.
