WASHINGTON - Attorney General William Barr has told people close to President Donald Trump - inside and outside the White House - that he is considering quitting over Trump's tweets about Justice Department investigations, three administration officials said, foreshadowing a possible confrontation between the president and his attorney general over the independence of the Justice Department.
So far, Trump has defied Barr's requests, both public and private, to keep quiet on matters of federal law enforcement. It was not immediately clear Tuesday whether Barr had made his posture known directly to Trump. The administration officials said Barr seemed to be sharing his position with advisers in hopes that the president would get the message that he should stop weighing in publicly on the Justice Department's ongoing criminal investigations.
"He has his limits," said one person familiar with Barr's thinking, speaking on the condition of anonymity, like others, to discuss internal deliberations.

If that is true, then Barr should quit, since he refuses to do his job.
In any other time and place, any dutiful attorney with the kind of evidence lying around would make the fur fly. With Barr, nothing.
He already has overwhelming documentation to send many people to prison, but he seemingly waits for all the stars and planets to align just right to make a move.

Now, if Barr did in fact say that to Trump, he should be fired immediately.
If he did not, then it is all meaningless.

Sorry but “Drudge Report” is no longer a credible news source. I’d read the Babylon Bee before Drudge. And if Barr goes...what’s lost? Was he going to convict Hillary or McCabe? Until that begins, whomever is running DOJ is suspect.

Yet the Democrats have zero reservations about prosecuting Republicans, even on ridiculous, trumped-up charges. No fear of retaliation against them at all.
Remember the Voting Right Act restrictions slapped on some of the Republican controlled states, that meant every change they made to their election laws had to be *approved* by the Justice Department? No Republican ever pointed out that for 20-30 years there had been no record of election abuse by the state, and it was only when the Supreme Court intervened to say that this control was terribly unfair, and thus it was over, did it end?

Republicans have long been pristine against their own members who commit infractions, real or imagined, but they let the Democrats behave like animals. That needs to end.
