One caution: District judges (still) are subject to the “Blue Slip.” That means in a state with two D senators, they can withhold approval, meaning the nomination is killed or not voted on. (Same thing when D president and a red state, which Zero honored).

Grassley removed the “Blue Slip” for appellate judges, but it’s still in place. Some of the judges Trump submitted were horse trading in blue-slip states and not all are Rs. Most are, however.
