Check the Daily Mail. That’s likely where GP got its info.

This is why I have NO problem with NO indictments of the criminal elite... Does anyone really want a ‘NOT Guilty’ verdict, decided by corrupt progressives on juries?

A Republican / Trump Supporter on Trial in front of a D.C. Jury will get the same Justice as Tom Robinson did in the Novel To Kill a Mockingbird.

No, 18 CFR 242 doesn’t have the death penalty as an option:

https://www.govinfo.gov/app/details/CFR-2002-title18-vol1/CFR-2002-title18-vol1-sec242

You are apparently trying to write 18 U.S.C. 242. (Those three letters are important.)

The death penalty is only an option IF “death results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, shall be fined under this title, or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.”

So which of those occurred here?

Good, because that’s the appropriate sentence for these people.

Poorly written story. Was the ENTIRE jury comprised of Hillary-bots?
The story seems to imply that being a Democrat should have been a disqualifier. Not so. Neither side can stack the jury in its own favor.
The standard question “are you able to disregard your personal opinions?” is deemed sufficient.
Not only would *overt* expressions of unwillingness to put biases aside have been instant disqualifiers, but additionally, attorneys each have the right to 6 preemptory strikes, without giving a reason.
Did Stone’s attorneys fail to do this?
Story doesn’t make it clear.

Was Stone “kidnapped”?

If so, 18CFR242 doesn’t fool around.

Judge needs to vacate this case, and if she cant do that, recuse herself. Which she wont because she is a Trump hating leftist, much the jurors on this stank case.

“No, 18 CFR 242 doesn’t have the death penalty as an option:”

I thought we were talking about deprivation of rights under color of law, not Conservation of Power and Water Resources.

But what do I know?

Just when ya think our judicial system can’t get any more corrupt, then details of the Stone trial get revealed. This is down right depressing.

So a reversal on appeal is likely but Trump should just pardon Stone.

If the court records show as claimed that Judge Berman had her finger on the scales of justice during voir dire, this will be overturned on appeal, at which point, now that all the original prosecutors have resigned, the DOJ is likely to choose to not retry the case and drop the whole mess into the cistern of history.

No pardon is necessary unless the DOJ decides to retry.
