We should never accept this a taxpayers. They did not use private capital to fund their escapades in college. Once the precedent is set that you can do this (no strings attached), then why not go to the gov’t for any kind of loan? Why not create federal government loans for everything instead of private loans? That way you can use political pressure to absolve yourself of debt and let everyone else eat the cost. This need sto be resisted just as fiercely as amnesty.
