A very bureaucratic solution, he’s there a year or so. He gets his bird. Goes to the Pentagon or some big clocking staring bureaucracy. Dos his two more years counting paperclips and is quietly forced into retirement via an “up or out” ruling. He then writes a “tell-all” book no one reads.
I wonder if he will soon find himself off that roster.
He was probably selected before all the publicity.
He’s probably been advised (he knows) he won’t make O-6. It wouldn’t take too many MAGA’s on the promotion board to sink him.
I think he’ll retire before then. There are better gigs for him, with the lefties, and the USAWC now leads to a dead end.

It's not Trump's Pentagon, it's still Mattis's. People there will take steps like this just to show their disdain for the President.

The "high command" may indeed leave the orders in place but the highest command, the CIC can and probably will stop it with a phone call.
I know Mark Milley and he is not happy with Vindman at all.
Obama’s people must still be in the hierarchy of all branches of the Military. Vindman should have been prosecuted for his behavior......GET RID OF ALL THE OBAMA PEOPLE. Maybe then we could completely resurrect this country from the devastation of the Obama years.
Not that I wouldn't put it past him to do so, but Kellyanne Conway made a big deal on Fox this morning on how what happened to the Vindman's wasn't retaliation just a normal rotation of officers in and out of the NSC. If Trump personally decides on the orders for a lieutenant colonel then he'll make Conway out to be a liar and probably cost him among the military.

His appointment to the Military College was set up many, many months ago and long before the Impeachment testimony.
His chances of actually attending are effectively zero sort of like his chance of any further advancement.
The Vindmen twins are effectively persona non grata in military circles and will more likely than not retire either by request or voluntarily.
