Perhaps the pressure is getting to him.
On Sunday, Joe Biden snapped at a voter in New Hampshire, calling him (sic: her) a “lying, dog-faced pony soldier.”
The dust-up came after the voter asked Biden, “How do you explain the performance in Iowa and why should the voters believe that you can win a national election?"
"You ever been to a caucus?" Biden replied.
After the voter said she indeed had attended a caucus, Biden shot back: "No you haven’t. You’re a lying dog-faced pony soldier."
"You gotta be honest,” he continued. “I’m gonna be honest with you. It was a little bit confusing in Iowa. But let’s assume it was all exactly right."
Biden told the unknown voter Iowa has a poor record picking presidential winners. The comments were first flagged by Yahoo News’ Jon Ward.
Biden was speaking at the first of two Sunday campaign events in Hampton, New Hampshire. The latest polling from the Boston Globe/Suffolk University is tracking Biden in fourth place, only one point ahead of Sen. Amy Klobuchar.

Ok hold on. I think Biden is a crook and a terrible policy maker and also a bit nuts. But the headline in this article gives the misleading impression that he lost his cool and really insulted somebody—watching the video it was just a bit of humor and seemed to be taken as such by the voter and no offense seemed to be taken.

Joe just needs to reboot his brain and he will be fine...well, not fine...kind of almost human...well, not so much human ..as a the equivalent of a functioning but nearly burned out LED light.

Pony soldier = US Cavalryman during the 19th century Indian Wars. Dog Face = term applied to US soldiers, allegedly because they used pup tens and wore dog tags (or numerous other theories). Why Joe Biden would choose these long dead terms, which probably saw more use in bad Westerns than real human discourse, to bully some poor woman just for asking a reasonable question, is beyond explanation without invoking dementia. The Dems have a heck of a group of candidates.

IIRC, “dogface” in WWII referred to infantry soldiers. It was a term of respect for those who were up front in the mud & muck, getting the worst of it with incoming artillery, mortars, enemy machine gun fire and an enemy constantly probing & attacking.
In WWI the British referred to their front line soldiers as “P.B.I.” (poor bloody infantry).
Anyway, Plugs Biden displays his usual chutzpah, hurling military slang at opponents while having evaded military service all during Vietnam, by legal means it must grudgingly admitted.
But the media will still try to drag him across the finish line as the prospect of the commie, the queer, and the scold hold no hope for victory in November.
Joe, you got such a way with words - you are sure to attract just HUNDREDS of extra votes for this one bright and witty response, NOT!
Life is hard enough when you have all your facilities about you, and frankly, Joe, you seem to be losing your marbles...
