Democratic strategist James Carville expressed his concerns as the Democratic primary race is officially underway, saying he's "scared to death" of the direction his party is going.
Appearing on MSNBC, Carville began by pointing to the success Democrats had during the 2018 midterm elections and stressed that it "matters" who the candidates are and what the party chooses to talk about.
"I'm 75 years old, why am I here doing this? Because I'm scared to death, that's why," Carville exclaimed. "Let's get relevant here ... all the Sanders people are taking pictures wishing Jeremy Corbyn the best. ... I don't want to go down that path."

Black men only went for hillary 78 percent. I know that’s HIGH but not as high as the 96 percent for black women.
I think black men will go maybe even 30 percent or a little more for Trump.
But for black women, the govt is their baby daddy.
It’s the only father in the house. It pays for the food and the rent and the utilities and free breakfast and lunch and now dinner for the kids at school (Yes, if they stay late enough they can get dinner)
So they’re voting 96 percent again for the dem.
But black dudes can help us carry three or four states with their 30 percent supports that might otherwise be a little tough to carry.
I would suggest one interesting scenario. Trump will have a billion dollars in his campaign chest by mid-summer....maybe going to 1.5 billion by the end of October (most all donated by us, the little guys).
If he took 500-million and attached it to district by district situation, paired up with particular GOP House potential folks, and selected ten districts in California (out of fifty districts in the US) to make a difference, then you’d see significant results.
An example. Say you picked Nancy’s district...the 12th District (central bay area of SF), and they laid out the homeless issue, the crap on the sidewalks, and the spiraling of Democratic leadership....he would influence the re-election of Pelosi. The district is made up of 33-percent Asians. So you pair the district up with a female GOP Asian, and you run the Trump advertisements with her.
Nancy tends to win her elections with almost no campaign money, and with 80-percent of the vote. I would suggest in this scenario...she’d have to go and spend some money, and she’d win but only in the 60-percent range. It’s not a victory for Trump, but it would force her to go out and spend weeks campaigning in the area, and defending the homeless image of the 12th District.

All that speculation about the black vote assumes the black vote for Trump will actually be counted and reported.
In the big rat-infested cities, like Philthadelphia (where armed thugs guard the entrances to polling places), the reported numbers will be close to 100% rat, as always.
California election officials will not let that happen. The actual votes don't matter.
