Even as the Iowa Democratic Party was trying to sort out the chaos in its reporting system, a party official announced that turnout was on pace with what they had seen in 2016.
In other words, it was mediocre. About 170,000 people participated in the 2016 Iowa Democratic caucuses, far short of the unprecedented 240,000 voters who turned out in 2008 and launched Barack Obama on his way to the White House. What was so exciting a dozen years ago was not only how many Iowans showed up, but who they were: young people, first-time caucusgoers, an ethnically diverse mix of voters in an overwhelmingly white state.
Until recent days, there had been plenty of buzz among Democrats that this year would set a new record. There was even some loose talk that turnout could reach 300,000, which would be incontrovertible evidence of the passion that their party is feeling about the prospect of defeating President Trump in November.

The leftist media loves to bleat they do fact-based reporting, and then when you look at the details there are no facts to be found!
That was about denying Hitlery the nomination.
2020: 32,000 voters...
No GOP incumbent in 2016...
No GOP incumbent in 2012...
No GOP incumbent in 2008...
no Caucus held in 2004...
No GOP incumbent in 2000...
No GOP incumbent in 1996...
no Caucus held in 1992...
you see the pattern here.
The Iowa caucus is nothing more than Fake Votes.
No one cares and everyone expects President Trump to be re-elected.
The Dems will have about 170k in the end maybe, compared to 240,000 in 2008, and 170k in 2016 (and no Caucus held for them in 2012)...
The GOP got only 32k in 2020, but for a non-contest.
Ding, ding, ding - we have a thread winnah!
Thanks for that word of caution.
Pleasant as it would be to gloat just now, I am trying to maintain a vigilant attitude and simply let the facts guide me to reasonable conclusions.
I would expect that the Trump team is well aware of the potential — nay, certainty — of massive vote fraud in November.
I would also expect that countermeasures are being put into place, Trump being nobody’s fool.
But we everyday patriots aren’t going to know the full story until much later — if at all. Revealing anti-vote fraud tactics at any time before the election might comfort the Trump base, but would be disastrous from an operational security standpoint.
So, for us ordinary Trumpsters, it will be all about turnout ... and prayer, as in “Lord, protect your American people.”
Unfortunately, I agree with you 100%. The Antifa and otherwise anti-American activists are now working overtime to make sure that
no crisis goes to waste
Sanders and someone else claim Sanders wins in the end. Maybe the local newspaper is the other.
This is like a bad movie with a sequel :)
I think he’ll in when 100 percent are in.
While psychology and sociology are totally fraudulent pseudosciences I do have to give honorable mention to anthropology. It is very creative for sure.
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology. I can say with authority that while there is some real science in it, particularly in archaeology, it is just a degree in Marxist theory. A huge waste of time and money. I had to go get a graduate degree in a totally different field.
The Dems have 70k fewer showing up for the 2016 and 2020 Caucuses... meaning those voters likely go to the other side... which accounts for that exact 140k margin of victory (70k less for them, 70k more for us, = 140k differential).
The rational expectation is the Trump will win Iowa by ~140k votes in 2020, unless somehow Trump stumbles or the Dems somehow turn one of these candidates into something much much more compelling, and soon.
Its so bad that entire migrant caravans have announced they will be voting for Trump.
[It is technically a record Iowa Republican Caucus turnout... for an unopposed GOP incumbent... ]
Yeah, you right. The figures are out, they just aren’t official yet. Des Moines paper was the claimed source.
Sanders 1st, Biden 4th.
WOW.
I was SO WRONG in the order I expected.
Geez.
A communist and a fruit in first and second.
That’s quite a party the dems have there :)
I wish the Never Trump 2% showed as much courage in telling the Dems to stick it as they did the other 98% of Republicans.
