Tech firm started by Clinton campaign veterans is linked to Iowa caucus reporting debacle

__________

An app created by a tech firm run by veterans of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign is taking heat for the unprecedented delay in reporting Democratic caucus results from Iowa.

The firm behind the app reportedly is Shadow, an affiliate of ACRONYM, a Democratic nonprofit founded in 2017 “to educate, inspire, register, and mobilize voters,” according to its website. Shadow started out as Groundbase, a tech developer co-founded by Gerard Niemira and Krista Davis, who worked for the tech team on Clinton’s campaign for the 2016 Democratic nomination. Niemira had previously worked at kiva.org, a nonprofit that makes loans to entrepreneurs and others in the developing world, and Davis had spent eight years as an engineer at Google. ACRONYM’s founder and CEO is Tara McGowan, a former journalist and digital producer with President Obama’s 2012 presidential campaign.

Designed to modernize a system that relied on precinct chairs phoning in their results, Shadow’s caucus app was seen as “a potential target for early election interference,” according to the Des Moines Register.

why do i get the feeling this group will be counting the next election? For president we need to get two cards red and blue and put one in the box.

Whether you want to believe it or not...from a pretty smart guy commenting on Sundance’s thread...:

===>

Clinton and Bloomberg are longtime friends. Steyer is a Podesta friend/Clinton ally. Clinton’s people are on the convention committee (including Podesta).

Bloomberg’s campaign, like Biden’s, is a proxy, just in a different way. He’s already pledged to spend the money, whomever the nominee will be, and I think it’s because he’s never planned to be the one. That Clinton getting in (or winning) seems so, utterly fantastical does not make it less true: the play here is Clinton.

In a planted Op-Ed in The Hill, she’s already been floated as VEEP to add “gravitas” to the ticket, and was quoted as being excited to jump on board with whomever gets the nomination (really? Clinton excited to run as #2? No one buys it … it’s seeding the concept.)

Chaos is also the best, if not the necessary state-of-play for Clinton to parachute in. First as VEEP — a stabilizing force. Then it’s just a re-shuffle to put her at the top of the ticket. VEEP probably then goes to Warren, thinking it placates the “progressive” wing (it won’t).

Bloomberg has no real pitch on the democrat side (neither did Biden) and he has the feel of a pop-up candidate. His “constituency” is pure donor class and astroturf. Hillary has a narrow band of dead-enders and a pitch: I beat Trump once in the popular vote, I can do it again, and I’m eager to settle the score.

What really matters is she still owns the party. That’s how she got her people on the convention committee, which only matters if there’s going to be a need to control it. She’ll take it in broad daylight, with Bernie people (and others) eyes wide open. Clintons and the DNC don’t care. That’s what narrative engineering is for.

I’ve been telling my family this for months. After tonight, I finally won a convert. And she’s PISSED. A long way to go yet, but this might turn out to be that moment that once you see, you can’t unsee.

Next we will find out that some optics company owned by friends of the Clintons made the jailhouse cameras that both mysteriously malfunctioned the night of Epstein’s “suicide”.

Diebold and Soros...General election voting issues...oh yeah, these will be part of 2020 general election in big cities and Texas, Florida, Ohio for sure.

Count on it.

It’s who counts the votes that matters.

Our side hasn’t gotten realistic enough to deal with this effectively.

Sound familiar, “those district counts haven’t been fully tallied yet”...happens every time.

Can you imagine anyone stupid enough to be President with Hill as Veep?

I wonder what the Vegas odds would be on that Pres lasting a year?

This firm was all gushy Mayor Butt a year ago and was paid by the Pete team this summer. They have an affiliated bogus “news” site that posted a bogus 300-sample poll by David Binder, an Obama pollster with various political clients.

And of course Mayor Butt was the one with the Al Haig, “I won/I’m in charge here” moment.
