The original 195 passengers (or whatever number) to March flew in on a Kalitta Air cargo plane. One would think it’d be hard to buckle up and put your seats in the upright position. Also, the windows were kept closed though why cargo would need windows is beyond me.

Is it possible for the virus to be in canned food products made in China and shipped to the US.
I have some canned pie filling and canned fruit made in China. Is it possible for a virus to survive in that type of media?

I’d worry about the outer part of the container. Probably OK 10d after it left China, but then again, we have no idea the survival of THIS coronavirus on surfaces.
I also wouldn’t eat canned stuff from china :), could be full of anything (lead, arsenic, melamine, etc...)
When in doubt throw it out. Unless it’s not expired and you can donate it to the homeless shelter for testing.

For everything there is a season. We DONT want this to happen, but we cannot fix her.
Thankfully she is a happy old soul and she is facing it with a smile on her face. She is and was the absolute best Mother in Law a guy could hope for.
Now...back to the apocalypse!
My guess is your fruit was packed long before this thing got out.
Anyway, the canning process is hot to kill this kind of stuff. Worst case, wash the can with soap and water before opening it. Kind of a germaphobe look at the world.

The Wuhan coronavirus outbreak is not a pandemic, World Health Organization officials said Tuesday, adding that they’re hopeful transmission of the virus can be contained.
Last night I wrote that we were at the time to get a double death somewhere to kick up the “out of China” fatality rate.
Not “hoping” for it. That would be a bad sign.
