Best wishes to your husband on his health. My uncle was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer nearly 20 years ago. He had a large piece of lung removed and underwent some additional treatments. He had another 15 years of good quality of life in which he enjoyed his children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Ultimately he succumbed to cancer when it re-emerged in his bones. We were grateful that he had the gift of more time with family and that when his time came, it was fast. Medicine has come a long way. He is not the only person I’ve known who had a lengthy reprieve after a lung cancer diagnosis. Prayers for your family.
Some time ago there was an opera singer that was diagnosed with Stage 4. She beat it..but don’t know what happened to her. I often wondered if it was because of the conditioning of her lungs to sing.
Going to go look and see what happened to her.
Thank you for your prayers. We both recently retired to Florida. A LC diagnosis is a life changing event. Ex-smokers should go for screening. My husband quit 15 years ago. Still reared its ugly head.
