When Bill Kristol swore he would never vote for President Donald Trump, he meant it. The longtime conservative commentator took to Facebook today to admit that he is a Democrat—for now.
In a tweet, the former editor-at-large of the now-defunct Weekly Standard, declared: "Not presumably forever; not perhaps for a day after Nov. 3, 2020; not on every issue or in every way until then. But for the time being one has to say: We are all Democrats now."

Where in Connecticut? I think with the anti-toll protests, I think NeddyBoy, will get a surprise this November - a close state house, a Republican state Senate and maybe 1 or 2 Congress flips (Courtney and Hayes, but are in areas that went for Trump Windham County and Litchfield County, and New London and Middlesex was close. I think if Trump held a rally in Hartford (Rentschler Field in East Hartford would be nice), Connecticut might flip.
He was always a neo-con not a Conservative.
The ONLY connections neo-cons joined with Conservatives and against post-JFK Liberals on was on “national defense”, but for the neo-cons that joining was for their own Left-of-center globalist “nation building” adventures. They did a squeeze play on the American public, particularly Conservative Americans. They helped both Dim and GOP administrations running Left-of-center globalist nation building adventures in foreign policy while the Left domestic political groups got to blame the “war mongers” in GOP for all of it. For much of that we could say “thank you Bill Kristol and your friends”.
It's adorable that he thinks anyone is going to buy the idea that he was ever a Republican or a conservative.
