Former Trump Chief Of Staff John Kelly On Ukraine Claim: ‘I Believe John Bolton’
Huffpost ^ | 1/28/20 | Sebastian Murdock

Former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly said he believes former national security adviser John Bolton’s assertion that President Donald Trump withheld aid from Ukraine to pressure that country into announcing an investigation of Joe Biden.

“If John Bolton says that in the book, I believe John Bolton,” Kelly told the crowd at a lecture series in Sarasota, Florida, on Monday.

Bolton’s accusation has become the latest twist in the Senate impeachment trial. A draft of his new book, obtained by The New York Times, says that Trump told Bolton last August that he wanted to freeze nearly $400 million in congressionally approved military assistance to Ukraine until the country agreed to investigate the former vice president and current Democratic presidential candidate.

One of the issues our president had being an outsider is, who to hire. He obviously doesn’t have a circle of political operatives he’d been cultivating for years.
So, he had to fill his cabinet in the beginning with people of The Swamp and slowly discover who was with him and who were snakes in the grass. This has been a slow process as the snakes in DC far outnumber upright citizens.
Considering everything The Swamp has mobilized against him this makes his accomplishments all the more impressive.

Is this an elaborate trap to once again discredit the fake media?”

Don’t over think it. It is a fired rat supporting a selfish traitor who was also fired. That’s all. Nice how Kelly escalated the story from wanting to withhold to actually withholding to delight of the a-holes at Huff Po

Have to remember Trump was never in politics before. And what this man was up against since he was elected was incredible. He has come along way and I am proud of this man and proud to call him my President.

Whatever virtues John Kelly may have, loyalty does not seem to be among them.

“If John Bolton says that in the book, I believe John Bolton,” Kelly told the crowd at a lecture series in Sarasota, Florida, on Monday.

Exactly what does Kelly believe about what John Bolton said in his book?

Has Kelly paid any attention to the President's Defense Team?

Has Kelly clarified the context of Bolton's claims?

Is Kelly aware that the facts associated with the "quid pro quo" remain the same with or without Bolton's conjecture? The facts exonerate our President. Is Kelly aware of that?

Has Kelly done any due diligence? I would be surprised if he has not. If he has done his homework, why is he siding with Bolton? Is Kelly a Democrat?

As usual, follow the money.

Yes, follow the money. Bolton leaked the book, not Vindman's brother or anyone else. It makes the most sense.

Bolton has a book coming out, one of the latest in a series of "trash Trump" books. He wants to gin up sales so he announces he'll testify at the impeachment if subpoenaed. For a while it looks like he may have his chance but the pressure to allow witnesses has subsided. So he leaks the stuff from the book and suddenly the chance to appear before the television cameras has grown again. Bolton wants the face time on TV, he wants the publicity, he wants the visibility that will drive up the sale of his book. He's a media whore to begin with. He's the leaker.

Consider John Kelly’s history in his dealings with Donald Trump.

It has never been amicable.

And as of the present, we have NO honest appraisal of what John Bolton has included in his manuscript of a book not yet published.

Trump seems to have a real problem finding staff who won’t stab him in the back.

Overall, it happens a lot in Washington to GOP Presidents, and Trump is indeed an outsider, with all the forces of the deep state and their corrupt media against him.

Nonetheless, people like Bolton, Kelly, Tillerson have given Trump very bad PR for the leftist press - and someone like Sessions nearly destroyed his Presidency.

You are totally right on that point.

History will record that Donald Trump’s biggest mistake was in not being ready with a slate of 100% loyal consiglieres to appoint to key positions on Day 1.

Simple. Don't hire anyone from Washington.
