Watch: Chris Wallace Snaps at Katie Pavlich On Fox News, Beclowns Himself In the Process
*****
Fox News (and sister site Townhalls) Katie Pavlich found herself on the receiving end of Wallaces frustration yesterday, in which he snapped at her for making a factual, salient point.
Ive got several thoughts about this.
For starters, it should be noted that Wallace was wrong. After he threw his little fit, in which he didnt even have the courage to look her in the eye while he made his demeaning get your facts straight comment, Pavlich proceeded to lay out a factual case about the Clinton impeachment (which was one of the aspects being compared). It is absolutely true that the witness interviews and evidence in the Clinton case were completed before they voted on the articles of impeachment because thats exactly how things should go.
In the case of Trumps impeachment, Democrats and their media allies want Republicans to save them from themselves. That was Pavlichs point. Wallace, instead of conceding that obviously true contention, is left stammering about but Bolton at the end.
But past the factual aspects of the exchange, this is just no way to treat a colleague. Wallace may or may not respect Pavlich as an analyst (and his public performance here suggests the latter), but he should be mature enough to at least hold back on live TV. Political debates are political debates. They arent worth crapping on your co-workers over.
I dont know whats going on behind the scenes at Fox News right now, but Wallaces behavior is growing more hostile and out of line, both to his colleagues and those he interviews. I get that he wants Trump removed, but hes supposed to be a unbiased journalist, not Don Lemon defending resistance talking points.
There was a perfectly reasonable way to disagree with what Pavlich was saying, but Wallace chose the equivalent of shooing her away like shes some ill-informed child. Its just not a good look.
Perhaps Wallace apologized during the commercial break, and Im not attempting to speak for Pavlich here, but Fox News allows these public outbursts with Wallace to continue at their own peril.

On Chris Wallace: "Some cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go."
Just saw Schumer say he doesn’t want to see the actual Bolton manuscript. He probably already has and knows it would ruin the narrative.
Theyre talking about Mike Pompeo kicking a Democrat reporter off his plane. Good.
Democrats will vote against subpoenaing him? Just dont accuse Chuck U of hypocrisy.
Walllass is spewing on Fox right now. Click the off.
CNN has new lede: former WH COS John Kelli says, I believe Bolton.
So what and who cares?
That's what the DEMs are hoping for. They will call it a cover up, they will say the evidence is damaging so it is just a matter of time before the truth comes out.
They are going to make that argument no matter what. It's a diversion from the correct framing of the case.
-- And the Senate will be paralyzed, unable to conduct business for months or years. --
That's not true. The trial is suspended if new evidence is called for. The senate goes about business as usual, and a committee goes after the new evidence. This was done in Clinton impeachment. Trial was bifurcated, with a couple weeks between trial parts and the Senate doing routine.
I think the better argument is that if the senate picks up the House's dirty work, then impeachment without due process (which is trivially easy to do) becomes more common. The House will send over article after article. The new normal. Why should the House make a case if the senate will do the work?
“These Dems have no clue what the rule of law is.”
Oh, they know all right. They just don’t care.
Dems might be forgetting that should Bolton has to testify,
he Bolton will be crossexamined by Trump’s very capable legal team. They will have direct knowledge from President Trump as to what was exactly said.
Key word in all of these Dim wannabees is “former”.
DJT is right about Fox; it’s become unwatchable except for Maria, Charles, Dobbs (for business) Tucker & Hannity. Rush is my go-to for political updates.
Its a Deep State coupetat.
Let me clean up that messy post:
Dems might be forgetting that should Bolton have to testify, he will be crossexamined by Trumps very capable legal team. They will have direct knowledge from President Trump as to what was exactly said.
best live feed ?
To overpower the rule of law you must understand the law in ways beyond it’s simple language. You must convince others that you are actually NOT violating the law, or that the law is wrong. It’s satanic, not stupid.
Im seeing it on CNN.
bttt
Chief Justice just arrived.
