Do your masks have the valve or is it not necessary?
Need eye protection as well. ‘Glasses’ for seeing better aren’t eye protection from this.
Nope no valve. It is for comfort only. N95 is the only thing that matters. The mask is as much to prevent you from inadvertently touching your nose and mouth as it is to filter out the virus in water droplets. The virus itself is small enough to pass through but it is transported in droplets that will not pass.
The valve is for exhalation. I recommend it, because without it what eventually happens is the mask gets moist from your own breath and becomes progressively harder to breathe through. Easily venting your exhalation keeps you from breathing the same stale air and getting too much co2. n95 masks, when fit properly, are very unpleasant to wear for an extended period of time. If you’re planning to wear it shopping or on a bus, etc. that might be fine, but if you want to wear it for hours on end, you’re gonna be pretty miserable.
I purchased all the vented 8500 masks and the non vented 8100 masks available at my local Lowes, military discount. They are selling like hotcakes on Ebay. the 8500 series are 15 pack units and I sold them before I even got the pick up confirmation for the stores, yes plural, they are all sold out now in my area.
I have about 23 left of the 3 pack 8100 series left. I purchased over 100 packs of those. My wife is going to go to the Lowes stores by her work to see if they have any left.
So far I’ve profited a little over 900.00 in a matter of hours. Better than the stock market today.
I’ll be praying that this is just hype but looks as though it’s not going to be. I will however take advantage of the ability to make a profit whenever possible.
