Senate Impeachment Trial LIVE - day 6
The text speaks always in terms of crimes.

"Some cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go."

Starr is making some good points now. There is no crime, high or otherwise. IMO, his trial is an exercise in futility; it is primarily just typical partisan electioneering for 2020.
Calm before the storm....lol!

I think that’s right.
I still think he’s speaking mainly to Roberts. In case Roberts is needed to make a judgement, he should have these constitutional historical points in mind.
I understand
But there’s an elephant in the room...we’re describing how the tent was constructed, and that IS IMPORTANT, BUT that damn elephant has caught the eyes of the audience. They can’t concentrate on the tent. They’re mesmerized by that elephant. As unfair as that sounds and IS, it’s the truth of human nature.
Likely. After all, she was the ghost writer for Bolton's book and she certainly has a copy of the manuscript. :)
I'm listening.
Amen to that. I can't believe the Republicans are leading off with this history lecture. I wanted to immediately see more fire and brimstone -- like we saw on Saturday morning -- from Cippolone, Purpura and Sekulow.
C'mon, Ken... time to sit down.
“Mr. and Mrs. Sunday’s Suppers”?
A better Wallass book would have been “Partying with BFFs Tony Podesta and James Alefantis of Comet Pizza”.
I would love to be in the classes he teaches. He is both interesting AND informative. I love listening t this.
Clinton: specific crimes.
Nixon: numerous crimes.
Crimes alleged in both of these.
No crimes alleged against Trump.
I agree... this is interesting and he is speaking to them as deliberative adults. No insults, just the fact there is no crime charged.
Speaking of hooks
GET THE HOOK! Starr stinks!
I fell over and knocked myself out listening to Starr, weak then, weak now.
I’m kind of one of those “get to the point” kind of people.
This whole fiasco should have been wrapped up in two hours tops.
I know we have to give the appearance that we are considering the evidence and so on...but it’s all bogus.
How long does it take to say the evidence it all crap and the articles of impeachment are a joke.
Okay, let all vote on it.
Rant over. :)
It’s taking time, but he is on firm ground and making a good contrast to the fire-breathing dopes on the prosecution team.
Actually, I’ve changed my mind.
He is making extremely important points.
And this is early in the day. The fire can start low and build up throughout the day.
I think it is a great choice it is neither RED or BLUE.
