Several senators running for president are reportedly mulling using private jets to campaign in Iowa as they try to balance their White House bids with the ongoing impeachment trial in Washington.
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) are both thought to be considering chartering flights to Iowa after Saturdays impeachment proceedings wrap up, while Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) has also not made her travel plans clear, The Associated Press reported.
The three senators are facing a unique dilemma in the leadup to the Feb. 3 caucuses in Iowa as the impeachment trial keeps them tied to Washington six days a week, leaving little time to campaign in early states.
Private flights could pose risks for Sanders and Warren, the AP noted, as the two leading progressives have railed against privileges afforded to the elite and eschewed contacts with high-dollar donors.
The two senators have also touted themselves as advocates for intensified efforts to combat climate change, while the use of private jets has been criticized as environmentally unfriendly.

i wonder if they’ll fly together in ONE private jet or each will take their own private jet?
“i wonder if theyll fly together in ONE private jet or each will take their own private jet?”
on second thought, i should have phrased that:
“i wonder if theyll plane-pool together in ONE private jet or each will take their own private jet?”
I would think that Bernie and Co should fly everywhere in a Piper PA-24 Comanche. The older, the better.
I was going to suggest something similar. Because they obviously need to eschew fossil fuel (to pleases the Gretas), I suggest a Conestoga wagon, a yoke of oxen, and a large “yeller” dog, They might be a little late arriving, but think of the photo opportunities. Warren could don her war bonnet and attack her competition with bow-and-arrow, whoops and blood-curdling cries.
Maybe the should car pool?
How Dare You!
I was thinking the risks may be more a coronavirus thing...bet none of them fly with the little people and crowds tend to be smaller and kept further away...
