Having recently returned from several days in Cuba, I watched the Democrats debate last week and wondered why they don’t just hop on a plane and move to Havana, the Cuban capital that has been languishing in the 1950’s thanks to Fidel Castro’s revolution.
Sure, the old cars are pretty cool to drive around in but most of them are dirty, loud, and don’t come close to meeting Obama’s emissions standards. The reason why they remain on the roads is not so much because of the U.S. embargo (the newer automobiles are Russian for the most part) but because the people working under the Communist regime can’t make enough money to pay for a new car. In fact, the government owns many of the cars, including those used as taxis and for tours.
I can just picture Bernie and Pocahontas zipping around in their government-owned 1950’s Chevy convertible, the Caribbean air flying through their gray hair as they blow kisses to the pictures of Che Guevara that adorn buildings, billboards, restaurants, and artwork across the country. (We were told that Fidel did not want his face to be the face of the country/revolution so we did not see a lot of him, but for an occasional photo and a commissary named Viva Fidel!)
Like the slate of Democrats standing on the stage last week (and all good Communists for that matter), the Cuban government claims to exist for the people. The revolution was a revolution of the people (wink, wink) and ever since, generations of Cubans have been indoctrinated to believe that nonsense. The Che photos around every bend are only part of it – and given the one-party system (how happy would Democrats be!), dissenting opinions are few and far between.

Venezuela, Red China, North Korea, Iran, Cuba.
All those countries have beautiful vistas in rural areas. And, the types of governments that make Soro/Socialists swoon.
Pick one, and relocate. You’ll be much happier.
That’d be something: US Democrats self-deport to all the various failing No kidding! The point of a quarantine is to contain the disease. Flying people out risks exposure to those outside of it.
IMO: Send citizens to embassies or consulates in the quarantined cities and _fly in_ medical specialists and scientists, equipment, and drugs for governments that want give their citizens the best care they can and study the disease there. “workers’ paradises” around the world as advisors to show them how socialism is supposed to work. They can root themselves into the ruling parties and instigate change from within.
With our luck, they’d ALL run to...Canada! Well, it’s fun to dream about! Certainly not holding my breath!

They threaten and promise to do this all the time (the list is a long one) but they never leave. Predicably, they remain here instead — whining, crying, criticizing and complaining. Nothing is ever good enough for them.

This is a small point about the US that the perpetually enraged among us just don’t seem to get.
They tell me ‘we have to change everything!’ and I say, no one is forcing you to stay. There are no outbound customs guys like they had in the Soviet Union. No one will prevent you from going. Hell, we’ll HELP you to leave - who wants violent malcontents around all the time?
But they don’t leave for the Garden Spots of the Planet like Havana, Caracas, Pyongyang or even Beijing.
Nope. They stay right here, screaming and yelling with little red popeye faces.
Know why?
Cuz here is where the goodies are. And they know it.
And that’s what all this is really about: they want more of the goodies then their fair share, and they want to get it by stealing.

In its simplest form, their objective is an oligarchy, consisting of themselves of course, ruling in luxury over an oppressed peasantry.
In twenty years we will be on our way...the democrats have to flee to the red states and turn them blue and then it is all over..the only red states left.ND and SD..NEB and OKLA
Completely agree, and it appears they will use any means necessary to obtain their goals.
How many Walmarts are there in Cuba? Since visiting Cuba is on my bucket list and Wally is my fav store, thought I’d ask./s
When you don't have anything you must recycle EVERYTHING, and you can't discard what you don't have...
It occurred to me - when is the last time you heard a Democrat use the word “freedom”? They have no concept of the term.
