Within the Senate chamber, lawmakers were doing their best to endure the long hours of the Trump impeachment trial’s first two days, bringing crossword puzzles, falling asleep, and flaunting the no-electronics rule by communicating on smartwatches. At home, Americans haven’t sought these distractions, because the public is just not tuning in.
According to TV ratings for the first two days of the trial, the six news networks covering Trump’s impeachment averaged a little over 11 million viewers combined, with Fox News leading the pack with some 2,654,000 on their channel from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Viewership dropped by about 20 percent on Wednesday, with a total of 8,858,000

I had a medical appointment yesterday, and in the waiting area they had this s**t show on, with Schiff droning and Lofgren moaning. It was worth noting that of everyone in the waiting area, only one couple appeared to be even sort of/kind of watching it (I had my back to the television). As a matter of fact, it seemed as it people were instinctively spread out in the hinterlands in order to avoid the spectacle.
Going to watch the Repubs sessions on Saturday. Betting that CNN, MSNBC and the Alphabets don’t cover the sessions.
Americans would rather stick a fork in their eye than watch hours of Adam Schiff droning on. Fixed the headline for them
By day #7, I expect them to hit the 5-million point, and probably average between 4 and 5 million for the remainder of the episode. It’s hard for me to even imagine that they will hit 17 work-days at this point. Most of the Senators will be burned out by the middle of next week.
But I’ll add this...all of us have internet capability and could easily watch via YouTube. I refuse to watch it live, and simply go and watch highlights hours later. If there was something titillating (like some intern gal), or some element of ‘crazy’...maybe we’d have more interest. But this is mostly about some phone call to the Ukraine, some half-witted former VP, and about some marginal joker getting a fake job as a board member for some Ukrainian natural gas company. It’s basically a script for a Jerry Lewis movie, if you ask me.

I never watch Adam Sch*t say anything. You know in advance that anything that comes out of his mouth is a lie. He has proved that enough times.

Same here. I can’t stand to hear any of those lying pricks but I will watch the defense team go at it.
If they want people to watch, they need to use a BS meter. Stick it on the screen somewhere. Watch the ratings rise as the meter goes nuts.

I am watching either games on GSN which is the Game Show Network, or old Western shows like Bonanza, The Virginian, Big Valley, The High Chaparral, or Walker Texas Rancher on GetTV while this crap is on.
Most of us have to work to pay these assholes salaries.

You are absolutely correct! This is pathetic and a disgrace to all patriots from both ends of the political spectrum. Those who believe this nonsense are not redeemable, in my view. I just shake my head about this whole illegitimate affair. Never thought I would ever see our country have to go thru something like this. So sad
