WASHINGTON — Sen. Dianne Feinstein left the third day of President Trump’s impeachment trial about an hour early Wednesday. The California Democrat’s desk in the Senate chamber was empty when lawmakers adjourned around 9:45 p.m. EST, following a roughly 10-hour session where House impeachment managers made opening arguments in the case against Trump.

I believe that’s clear in the rules. Their asses must be in their chairs 24/6 for these hearings. Period.

I am pretty sure that a Senator MUST be present to vote.
I am think that the language in the Impeachment rules states that 2/3 of “THOSE PRESENT” make up the vote results.
For awhile, there were rumors that Pelosi & other Dems were working on GOP members to NOT be at the trial, and if enough of them were absent, the 2/3 vote could be accomplished by the Dems who WERE there.
That kind of language would cover for a group of Senators who did NOT add up to 100-—due to death & an open seat, etc.

Also- these rules were written LONG before there were 50 states & 100 Senators.....So it had to cover for ‘those present’ in the language

I was channel flipping a couple of weeks ago, and a Liberal PBS ‘reporter/commentator ‘ made the statement that “Pelosi doesn’t drink”.
I almost choked.
Apparently, this ‘PBS reporter/commentator’ never was told about the huge liquor bills that have been accrued when Pelosi is flying on the American taxpayer dimes. I think that one year, that bill was OVER $100,000, as reported by a watchdog group.
