Yes!!! Put the motion to dismiss up for a full Senate vote and let’s see who stands with Trump and who is against him.
“there is little or no sentiment in the Republican conference for a motion to dismiss. Our members feel that we have an obligation to listen to the arguments.”
That’s insane. By listening to arguments, it gives a measure of credibility to the trash Pelosi sent over, when there’s nothing credible in any of it. Giving it even the teeniest bit of consideration is giving “them” an inch, and then they’ll demand and grab a mile.
I like the idea dismissing the impeachment based on the unConstitutionality of the Articles of impeachment. How can you impeach a President for using his Executive powers granted by the Constitution? House Democrats are insane.
Should have dismissed already.
Let’s say the defense immediately moves for dismissal based on hearsay evidence and no actual criminal charges.
With the Senate acting as jury, and John Roberts serving as judge, wouldn’t it be Roberts who rules on whether the charges should be dismissed? Couldn’t he just say the Senate-speak equivalent of “Case dismissed, court adjourned?”
Hawley is the one who wrote the resolution and Mitch went on as a co-sponsor. Now they want us to believe Hawley will vote against his own resolution? Doubtful.
Arguments both ways have merit.
Since the Senate isn’t going to ask ME, (good!, cause I can’t decide), I’ll wait to see what Mitch and the boys (politically incorrect on purpose because the gender (grammar term) in English is understood to stand for BOTH (and YES there are only TWO) sexes, the masculine “man” as in hu”man”.
“2. a human being of EITHER sex; a person.
“God cares for all races and all men”
