That’s insane. By listening to arguments, it gives a measure of credibility to the trash Pelosi sent over, when there’s nothing credible in any of it. Giving it even the teeniest bit of consideration is giving “them” an inch, and then they’ll demand and grab a mile.
I think Cotton last night said that it will take some ten days or more just to get the rules done. So that is minimum. Two weeks. So quickly starts there.

You are absolutely right. You make the motion to dismiss up front in the trial. You obviously have the right to present arguments in support of your motion, which in this case would get right to the heart of the matter - the unconstitutionality of the articles failing to state a cause of action to even justify a trial on the merits. Only Senator publicity hounds want a show trial.
