The “Loyalists” also known as— King George’s men and women. Who— after the Surrender at Yorktown, many were caught still in the new American country, and were jailed on the spot, in some cases they were hanged.
Most flew the country and ended up in Brit colonies, notably the Bahamas, Bermuda and other locations— to escape the reality of their traitorship, their illegal actions against the Continental Army.
So the answer for Northam— you had better leave your Governor’s residence. You should resign for your anti Constitutional actions, and for the threat of force. You do not enact laws on the People in this fashion. And you should remove yourself, preferably by resignation. You and your “lootenant” womanizing racists Lt.
