Political commentary woven into television shows is not always a bad thing. Sometimes a reasonable point can be made. But making an entire series or show around one’s own bitter prejudices makes for a very sad commentary on those involved rather than any useful commentary on the politics of our time.
Just started “rewatching” NYPD Blue from the pilot show and moving forward. By today’s ‘standards’ pretty un-pc. Probably was at the time as well.
