OK

Who here believes the Fateh-110 SRBM, modeled after an unguided rocket, is capable of singling out a specific building from 200 miles away?

Or any Iranian ballistic missile for that matter.

Anybody?

They didn’t deliberately miss any more than they deliberately hit. They just didn’t kill anyone.

“They didn’t deliberately miss any more than they deliberately hit.”

I think this contributed to POTUS anger this morning.

Iran fired with the intent to blow things up. They just lucked out and didn’t kill anybody due to early warning.

Not to mention that the solid propellant casting is somewhat substandard compared to ours. Lol.

NYT’s Nicholas Kristof speculated last night that Iran ‘deliberately hit empty ground.’ Satellite photos show he was wrong Several buildings took direct hits, and there were no casualties reported. These bases have been around for several years so Iran has to have a good idea of what goes on at them by now.

The Fateh-110 while based on unguided rockets has a guidance system of some unspecified type. Iran also gave Iraq advance warning.

So maybe what happened was, Iran targeted missiles to miss or knew what they would hit would be unoccupied, in order to strike back, save face, and not provoke a U.S. response at the same time.
