Rods from God. Same thing happened at that North Korea nuclear testing site. An earthquake was detected and then the ground collapsed killing 400 something of their nuclear scientists.
According to what happened, the North Koreans tested a 150 kT thermonuclear bomb. They didn’t realize how much damage that could cause in an underground blast and those technicians were killed working on a nearby blast site when the ground gave way.
