"All is well! Missiles launched from Iran at two military bases located in Iraq. Assessment of casualties & damages taking place now. So far, so good! We have the most powerful and well equipped military anywhere in the world, by far! I will be making a statement tomorrow morning."
No need? So you are okay with missiles landing amongst our soldiers? Our American sons and daughters?!
This all could have been planned between the US and Iran to deescalate things via secret talks. Both sides do not want war and it allows Iran to save face. Iran told our WH, hey we will send a few missiles out in the dessert, don’t attack.
I’m sure we had super hi-tech Patriot missile batteries over there and non shot down any of these incoming missiles? C’mon.
Don’t get me wrong. Both sides hate each other and Iran is nasty as hell but both also knows what would happen if all hell breaks lose.

Well, not quite. I said this is the Iranians Play. Not that I agree that we should do nothing about their attack.
I believe we should use this attack as a catalyst to devastate their Military and Oil Infrastructure.
Cripple their country economically and militarily with high powered precision ordinance to minimize casualties. Yet completely cripple their ability to wreak havoc and, to drill for and refine petroleum.
This would end the Mullahs reign of terror once and for all. No boots on the ground needed. We have the capability. Do we have the will to use it?
No, I'm not. But that's not what happened. In case you haven't heard, everything missed. In some cases, by a lot. And yes, if Iran fired some missiles that missed, and then claimed "uh, we're done", I'm fine with that.

This was a better result than fighting. We won by not fighting (other than the one strike on Solemani).

I suspect that this is just a face-saving, token act of “revenge.” If there are no US casualties, and basically all they did was blow up dirt, I think Trump will let it slide rather than escalate things.

If there are no casualties and no more “revenge” attacks this is a clear win if Trump doesn’t respond. It’s actually a great opportunity to negotiate. Stranger things have happened.

I am just surprised at how bad their aim is. A dozen ballistic missiles and they hit nothing!
Possibly Patriot missiles took them out, or perhaps their aim was so bad that we didn’t bother wasting any.
To me that is a message from Iran saying they want to negotiate. Of course I could be wrong but that’s how I’m seeing it as of right now. Especially if that’s the end of their revenge.
