I doubt many of Iran’s F-14’s are still flying these days.
All they had were “A” models with TF-30’s, AFAIK.
I was talking to a couple of Tomcat jocks in the 1990’s - I noticed they were flying an A model. I asked about it.
One of them replied there were only 60 D models in the inventory at that time. Surprised me.
I think there were gonna be engine upgrades. Back then. Dunno. If only Pukin Dog was still around.

I saw an article a couple of days ago about Iranian aerial strength. It stated that “it is estimated” that the Iranians have only about 20 of the original 79 F-14s purchased 40 years ago in flying condition. I don’t recall who did the estimating.

This has got to have a corrupt money angle to it. Trump has interrupted the Ukrainian kickbacks, the Chinese kickbacks and who knows which others that are less obvious and to the detriment US of A. Why would a president okay a midnight shipment of $150 billion to a repressive regime? Was Val Jar who was involved in the 911 commission cover up, part of a plot to cover up the Iranian involvement in 911? Once Joe Biden is on video admitting being a corrupt POS, and yet he is still the front runner of a major political party. The president should declassify the 911 commission report, not the public part but the secret part.

Not wrong. Initial reports were that rockets were fired into the two air bases. My response was based on the fact that most early reports were of rockets.
An hour or more later there were reports of ballistic missiles. All along there have been reports where rockets and missiles are used interchangeably.
The media on the whole seems ignorant when it comes to military weapons.
