Pinkerton: What Trump Might Have Learned from Richard Nixon: Vietnam Then, Iran Now
Breitbart ^ | 01/05/2020 | James P Pinkerton

Posted on 01/07/2020 6:25:22 AM PST by ChicagoConservative27

The Republican president, running for re-election, orders airstrikes against a foreign foe. Back home, street protests erupt, and TV pundits and newspaper editorialists rage; there are even new calls for impeachment. And it’s later learned that the president told his top diplomat, in regard to the aerial bombardment, “The bastards have never been bombed like they’re going to be bombed this time.” These words then provoke critics to call the president, among other epithets, crazy.

Naked ANTI-American COMMUNISTS. Just as it was in the 1960s. And 1940.

There may be some dumb people who don't recognize Workers World Party, Socialist Democrats Party, Communist ANSWER, Che, etc. but they are brain dead Red dupes.

Here are some screencaps:

Could also learn a good deal from Carter's experience with Iran.

Difference between Vietnam and Iraq is back then it took an entire war (started by a democrat and blamed on a republican to trigger their version of the PC pampers patrol). Now one very precise bomb taking out one person and no cities cause mass dem apoplexy. Of course, they slept through 8 years of indiscriminate wedding and otherwise random civilian bombing beforehand

What pinkerton might learn from a trip to the grocery store: apples are apples; oranges are oranges.

The most important take aways from Nixon and Vietnam are that the North Vietnamese had no intention of honoring the Paris Peace Accords. The Democrats had no intention of supporting the South Vietnamese and Leftists had no intention of taking responsibility for the ensuing blood baths in Cambodia and South Vietnam.

Nixon caved to the Red Chinese. Mao had 100,000+ Red Chinese Troops in North Vietnam and supplied the Viet Cong. Nixon refused to believe the intelligence reports. Instead he went to China and kissed Mao’s ass.

President Trump will not cave to anyone.

President Trump doesn’t need to learn any lessons from Nixon’s behavior.

It is the depraved and dishonest behavior of the Left - both then and now - that needs to be understood - and the President understands plenty.

There is no evil the Left will not resort to in order to destroy a good leader - that’s what this is: a battle between good and evil.

I’m thinking President Trump is too smart for the Left - and too beloved by his supporters - to allow them to win this time around.

Nixon found out about some low level break-in and tried to keep it quiet - so what? He never deserved what the Left did to him any more than Trump deserves what they are trying to do to him right now.

This is not about anything Nixon or Trump did wrong, this is about how evil and anti-democratic the Left is. They are not willing to let the voters decide - they seek to destroy their political opposition by any means rather than let us choose a leader.

Go President Trump!!
Thank you for hanging tough!!
Thank you for exposing the dishonesty and hypocrisy of the Left, the fake news, and the fake polls!! It’s ALL lies and everyone knows it!!
You have 70-80 million patriots who are ready to crawl over broken glass to vote for you and give you a landslide in November!!

Actually, EC, Nixon had a plan in place to still support the South Vietnamese, a bullet for a bullet, a Huey for a Huey, constantly replacing spent materiel by the South Vietnamese to ensure they kept fighting against the North Vietnamese (and by extension, the Red Chinese and the Soviets). That points to him being wary enough of Mao that he still backed the South Vietnamese allies by proxy. If anyone was to blame for that, it was the Democrat congress that exploited Watergate and their supermajority to basically cut funding. Don’t believe me? Watch Prager U:

Nixon may have screwed up on some things, including making that deal with China, but what he did NOT screw up was Vietnam.

To be fair, Nixon suspected that North Vietnam had no intention of honoring the Accords, and had a contingency in place specifically to ensure the South Vietnamese could still fight off the enemy without needing American boots on the ground. Unfortunately, thanks to Watergate and his being ousted as a result by the leftists, who then used their “convenient” supermajority to nix that part of the accords we agreed to in order to essentially stab the South Vietnamese in the back, the plan got sabotaged. Watch this, and you’ll see what I mean:

You’re certainly right regarding the North Vietnamese, Democrats and Leftists, though.
