There were certainly a lot of candidates for the biggest story of 2019, from the red-hot economy to the Mueller mumblings to the presidents record pace in reshaping the judiciary. But, my vote for the biggest story of 2019 is the complete collapse of media credibility along with its continued poisonous influence.
The media sold its soul to the Democrats long ago, but 2019 was its worst year on record. Consider a few of the worst offenses.
Exhibit A
A Washington Post headline declared that slain ISIS leader and hardened terrorist Abu Bakr al-Baghadi an austere religious scholar. Nothing to see here other than another charming chap in horn-rimmed glasses. They simply did not have it in them to celebrate a major U.S. achievement that reflected positively on the president they hate.
Showing that they never learn from their mistakes, this weeks headline from the same paper declared that the worlds worst terrorist, Qasem Soleimani, who ran Irans terrorist and intelligence networks with the blood of scores of Americans on his hands, was Irans most revered military leader.
The media are going to need to open a reverential hall of fame to celebrate the likes of al-Baghadi, Soleimani, and the peaceful protestors who tried to Benghazi the embassy in Iraq. CNN, for its part, is doing its usual effort to paint this in the most anti-Trump light, with an entire story dedicated to the fact that President Donald Trump dined on ice cream when news of the strike broke, perhaps with a side of Chianti.

They still influence millions, I think. Perhaps tens of millions. Enough to turn elections. Otherwise those that fund them wouldn’t bother.
Its hard to pick a favorite media lie, but Ill go with the Covington Catholic story, if only because those kids might read millions from the despicable, self-ingratiating liars.
I always get beat up for the statement, but Hillary won the popular vote. there were more of them than us.
It is that more of them than us that support the media. They buy stuff and thus can be influenced by ads on the media spouting the propaganda they want to hear.
However, it is a fact that CNN is in dire straights. Hallmark network and HGTV have more viewers. The alphabet net works are losing viewers by cable cutters and literal viewer death.
They also referred to Khoshoggi as a ‘journalist’, when he was a player.
Day after day one thinks they have read the post puerile thing it is possible for the MSM to produce.
Each and every day one is proven wrong.
Hillary Clinton did not “win the popular vote.” Aside from the fact that “the popular vote” is fiction, she won the raw vote total by about 2 million due entirely to the slimy ballot harvesting scam in California.
You are rationalizing an invalid point.
Call it what you want but hillary received the most votes. There were more of their votes then ours.
Hillary majority voters are the support of the mainstream media
How are you factoring for the illegal vote in your summation? If you're going to "cut through" the details, you have to account for the significant one's first.
The illegal vote is unproven and a figment of conservative rationalization
Then so is the "popular vote" myth.
We KNOW the democrats have taken comprehensive steps to mask illegal voting: you don't get to have it both ways.
This is simply not true in both its parts. I am not rationalizing anything. The fact is that all of Clinton's vote total above Trump's total came from California. The fact is that nearly all of them came from so-called ballot harvesting.
As for whether or not it is a valid point, that is your opinion. In my opinion, it is a valid point or I would not have posted it.
