To those asking why #QassemSoleimani’s ring doesn’t match the ring on the hand after the attack:
1. Shia Muslim men have many rings.
2. The ring in the picture was gifted to him by Ayatollah Khamenei. Hence the interest in it by media.

The way the stone is set in the photo of just the arm- the depth at which the stone was set and its size- looks exactly like the depth of the stone in the ring on the hand of a militia leader in an old photo, the guy who also died in the convoy. Sulaiman’s ruby was set deeper in the mount.
Doesn’t mean they didn’t find Soleiman’s ring in the debris too, I think they did ID him through multiple means- it’s just that the ring the press showed better fits the one the militia leader had worn in the old photo than it does any shown in pics of Suleiman that I’ve seen so far.
