I have NEST and love it.
I’ve got a basic, old-fashioned, 1980s style doorbell. Works just great for me. No Nest, no Ring, no Alexa, none of that crap. They tell you that they aren’t eavesdropping, but I don’t believe it.
Believing Google or Amazon regarding security is like believing a Democrat to keep a state secret from the press.
Why would a homeowner accommodate a trespasser with a door bell? How does s trespasser make it to the door in the first place?
Next, let’s discuss the safe way to get into a stranger’s car.
I don’t use cameras connected to anyone’s cloud infrastructure inside my home. Outside is a different story - I have Nest cameras covering each entry-way into my house. Inside - there’s no real need for cameras, and if there were I’d use my own monitoring software and my own storage.
I can see all of you who have the Ring camera and the Nest camera. Some of are not wearing pants!
