Special Operator 1st Class Corey Scott, a medic in the platoon, told the investigators: You could tell he was perfectly OK with killing anybody that was moving. Such dire descriptions of Gallagher, who had eight combat deployments and sometimes went by the nickname Blade, are in marked contrast to Trumps portrayal of him at a recent political rally in Florida as one of our great fighters.

Also Corey Scott [of course, THIS didn't make it into the NYTimes hitpiece on Trump]:
SO1 Corey Scott, who was granted immunity to testify for the prosecution, stated in court on Thursday that he put his thumb over the wounded fighter's breathing tube after his capture in Mosul, Iraq, in 2017, resulting in the fighter's death.
Navy spokesman Brian O'Rourke confirmed to Task & Purpose that Scott testified on Thursday that he had asphyxiated the wounded ISIS fighter and was responsible for the man's death.
Scott reportedly said that he knew the fighter "was going to be turned over to the Iraqi forces and that he had previously seen those forces torture, rape and murder prisoners," NBC News reports.
"I knew he was going to die anyway," Scott said. "I wanted to save him from waking up to what had happened next."
Although Scott was a U.S. government witness, Scott was observed by Task & Purpose on Tuesday outside the courtroom talking and joking with Gallagher, who seemed friendly.
Nah. The NYTimes slime is lying about him. See my post on that just upthread.
The article is only peripherally about Gallagher.
This is actually a Resistance attack on Trump. I went and checked the guy's Twitter feed [David "SoyBoy" Philipps], and it's covered with Resisters attacking Trump.
[Twitter is where today's "reporters" spill the beans on their politics. They don't even know they're doing it.]
The ones that dummied up knew what they were about:
"It is an unspoken rule among their teams that SEALs should not report other SEALs for misconduct. An internal investigation could close off choice assignments or end careers for the accusers as well as the accused. And anyone who reported concerns outside the tight-knit SEAL community risked being branded a traitor."
========================
An aside - I learned that "dummying up" is the way you deal with situations like this, ESPECIALLY when a "code" like the one above is involved.
I got a problem with Gallagher, I take care of it myself.
Not run crying like a little girl to Æthelblack the Unreadys Perfumed Princes of the Officer Corps.
I'm digging around and getting a clearer picture of what went on.
You can see some of the results in my posts above this one.
BTW, Engedi - NEVER depend on liars from NBC, or any of the other alphabet networks, either.
Our govt has given some Geneva convention protections to unlawful combatants, depending on the circumstances.
Because Okeydoker was able to read the medic's mind, and saw clearly that it was a false admission.
You should have contacted the Navy prosecutors the minute you found that out from yer mind-readin', Okey. Of course, they were probably too busy with their dirty tricks...
There is a reason 7 crybaby Millenial team members testified against him and now are still giving press statements about what a "dirtbag" he is.
There's also a reason that the rest of the team didn't get involved in the revenge of the crybabies...
The Democrats at the Times must be hoping McRaven will run for office since the rest of the field are duds.
Yes
But you repeat yourself...
Yep. I'll bet Mc-Craven, Æthelblack the Unreadys perfumed prince, is their guy.
Thanks for the information.
OK, so you were taught this. I fail to see where the moral outrage comes from though. Killing a terrorist prisoner—which in any case he was not convicted of, a point you didn’t address—doesn’t evoke in me any kind of emotional response whatsoever. And why should it?
You have no evidence to support that claim.
Quite contraire.
The prosecutor would never have granted him immunity from prosecution if he had known that he was going to confess to killing the victim from the witness stand. Never.
Exactly.
I think he lied to get Gallagher off the hook
